Your Attitude to Marketing is Key

Would you have a budget of £1000 per week then not press it again after 10 times? Of course not, ( I hope you're saying no here ).
Now most businesses marketing is more akin to having a button on your desk where you are charged £100 to press and you get back £10. How many times would you press it now? Would you seriously have a budget of £1000 per week to press it and keep pressing until its spent?.
The answer is of course NO, but this is what nearly all businesses are doing which is why they cut the marketing budget so eagerly when times get tough.
Actually I'm being kind here. Most businesses marketing activity can be likened to having a button on your desk costing £100 to press each time and having no clue what the resulting loss or return is.
Marketing should not be an expense but an investment with a measureable R.O.I
